The project was developed to support the implementation of Decision 42 COM 7 of the World Heritage Committee which calls banks, investment funds, the insurance industry and other relevant private and public sector companies to include "No-Go Commitments" and provisions in their policies for ensuring that they are not financing projects that may negatively impact World Heritage properties.
