This 3-year project aims to assess and restore mangroves to provide social, economic and enviornmental benefits in the following biosphere reserves: Seaflower, Guanahacabibes Peninsula, Macizo del Cajas, Sian Ka'an, Darien, and Noroeste Amotapes-Manglares. The activities will be carried out in collaboration with biosphere reserve communities and local management committees, including indigenous peoples, afro-descendants and local communities. Education for sustainable development will also be a strong component in the project.
