IOC-UNESCO was mandated to lead the preparatory phase of the Decade, in consultation will all stakeholders. Starting in January 2021, the Decade's implementation will be supported by a governance and coordination structure that ensures strategic and operational coherence, while allowing for agility and flexibility. This structure aims to create the enabling conditions to foster and support multi-sector engagement throughout the Decade. This project will support priority activities needed for the establishment and operation of the governance and coordination structures for the Decade.
