Project ID 526MYA5001

The Bagan Photographic Archive kept at Department of Archaeology and National Museum in Yangon represents a rare and priceless collection of national and international significance. However, currently this collection is not accessible to site managers, conservators and wider public. The project will support the Myanmar authorities to address this challenge and result in the preservation and digitization of this important collection, thereby supporting the recovery of the site. In addition, other crucial archives relating to the Bagan site will be better managed through capacity-building of the authorities on archival management.
