Project ID 526RAF1003

The first Better Education for Africa's Rise (BEAR) project (2011 - 2016) has yielded positive and meaningful outcomes in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) by inducing significant structural and methodological changes in the way Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is delivered and managed in the beneficiary countries, namely Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Malawi, Namibia and Zambia. BEAR II (2017-2022) will support five member-states in Eastern Africa, namely Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Tanzania and Uganda to reform their TVET systems by addressing key issues of relevance, quality and attractiveness of TVET pathways for young learners.
