This project was developed as the 3rd phase of the UNESCO/KFIT funded project "Enhance the Capacity for Species Identification and Genetic Analysis on Marine Organisms in the Coral Reef Ecosystems in the Western Pacific", aiming to further enhance the capacity of IOC member state in the Western Pacific and adjacent waters for using the genetic method for species identification, encourage data sharing and collection, keep constructing the established portal site, and to apply this tool to marine resources management and biodiversity conservation.
