In continuation of the UNESCO's carried out Heritage Conservation, Development and Coordination Project for Afghanistan, Phase I (2013-2014), UNESCO aims to keep its support to the Afghan authorities to safeguard the Shar-i-Gholgholah heritage site in Bamiyan and Minaret Jam in Ghor within the phase II of the project. This project is also aimed to involve heritage awareness and education for youth and the broader community, as well as capacity-building for the local and national authorities in relation to cultural heritage management and heritage disciplines in Afghanistan.
