Project ID 537CMB4000

As the follow-up of the decision of the First ICC-Angkor, held in Tokyo in 1993, the working procedures of the Committee were established. It was decided that the Committee would be co-chaired by France and Japan in collaboration with the APSARA Authority, UNESCO provides the Secretariat. It was reconfirmed by the Angkor International Conference recently held in Cambodia on 5/12/2013 where the French and Japan co-Chairs have re-endorsed their co-chairmanship. The financial mechanism established on the initiative of Japan and France also foresaw that the cost of the ICC-Angkor meetings should be borne by these two countries.
