Project ID 537RAS4001

The documentary heritage associated with these sites are critical for understanding, studying, managing and monitoring these sites in a sustainable manner. This project will undertake two streams of implementation: (i) on-site needs assessment and recommendations for improving the system for managing documentary archives at pilot World Heritage sites and (ii) capacity building in managing documentary archives which will benefit various World Heritage sites in Southeast Asia. The project will lead to the improvement in the protection of documentary archives and this in turn will contribute to a more informed approach to World Heritage site management
