Project ID 537SOI4000

The project aims to build capacities of indigenous local communities in the East Rennell World Heritage site in Solomon Islands, inscribed on the List of World Heritage in Danger in 2013, through a Community-Based Resource Management approach to mainstream nature-based sustainable livelihoods. The project will build resilience of communities affected by disasters and climate change, leading to positive perception and behavioural changes among the custodians of the World Heritage site to support nature-based solutions, while enhancing well-being of the communities and fulfilling both heritage conservation and sustainable development.
