Under the direct supervision of the Head of Marine Policy and Regional Coordination section, the Programme Specialist seconded by JAMSTEC will be responsible to assist in matters relating to law of the sea and transfer of marine technology by: - providing inputs to IOC initiatives relating to UNCLOS - Liaising with Member States on the implementation of activities and programmes on law of the sea, transfer of marine technology and marine scientific research - act as technical secretary for GEBCO -mobilising extra budget in support of the implementation of IOC's mandate relating to UNCLOS.
