The project provides an emergency and mid-term response to strengthening the resilience of Afghan media and enhancing the safety of journalists with two outcomes: 1. Afghan media outlets continue or reinstate their operations within Afghanistan, providing the population with factual and verified public interest information, with a focus on conflict-sensitive reporting, access to health and education information and educational broadcasting addressed to Afghan women, youth and minorities. 2. Safety of journalists, media workers and freedom of expression defenders inside Afghanistan is reinforced, with focus on monitoring, prevention, and protection and support to women journalists.
