Project ID 555GLO2002

In 2017, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, 2021-2030 to reverse the decline in ocean health. The Decade will stimulate and empower transdisciplinary ocean research to support the timely delivery of the data, information and knowledge needed to achieve Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. The Decade started in 2021 after two years of preparation. The first years will be crucial to maintain the momentum built during the preparatory phase and explore innovative methods for future engagement. The project will support communication and outreach activities to incite collective action throughout the Ocean Decade.
