This proposed project aims to, building on the tremendous achievement made in the past with the support of JFIT, accelerate the transfer of marine technology in the region on marine biodiversity conservation and seafood safety, through increasing their scientific knowledge, developing their research capacity and transfer of marine technology, in order to assist IOC Member States in the Western Pacific, in achieving not only SDG14 but also all SDGs which would also benefit from improved knowledge of the ocean.
