Project ID 567AFG1007

In June 2022, the southeast region of Afghanistan was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9, devastating Paktika and Khost, which severely impacted educational opportunities. This has further exacerbated the existing inequalities in education and literacy in the two provinces. To mitigate the cascading negative effect of the earthquakes on learning, this project, will ensure the continuation of educational services to youth and adults, especially women and adolescent girls in most affected areas in Paktika and Khost, through community-based, gender-sensitive, and non-formal learning modalities
