Project ID 570BRZ3006
This UNESCO crosscutting (SHS, SC and CLT) 3-year project is focused on fostering local sustainable development, promoting human rights and preserving the historical and intangible heritage affected by the dam collapse (2015) in the region of the city of Mariana (based in the vicinities of Ouro Preto, coincidentally a World Heritage Site since 1980). The project shall also involve the SC expertise, particularly the experience of UNESCO's International Hidrological Programme (IHP) and the MaB programme, in actions of participatory water monitoring and preservation of local biodiversity.
