Further to the adoption of the UNESCO OER Recommendation by the 40th UNESCO General Conference the Communication and Information Sector, jointly with the Education Sector, launched the OER Dynamic Coalition, to implement the first four Areas of Action laid out in this normative instrument. The constitution of the OER Dynamic Coalition responds to the fifth Area of Action of the UNESCO OER Recommendation, 'Promoting and reinforcing international cooperation', and is tasked with designing and carrying out the necessary implementation activities.
