Project ID 570INS4005

Addressing the lack of capacity building opportunities for the local communities at WH sites, UNESCO Jakarta will provide assistance to young budding entrepreneurs living in and around heritage sites in continuation of project initiated since 2017. Youth engaged in the practice of traditional arts and culture, or creative industries including tourism, is targeted in priority as the local culture-based business contributes to enhancing the value of World Heritage sites, and confers sense of pride to youth. Following the success of the previous 4 phases, Phase V will expand the contribution to new sites, namely Sangiran (World Heritage), Solo, and Semarang.
