Project ID 570INT5002
The project is aimed at training judges and judicial actors (including privacy/data protection commissioners) in international standards and regional jurisprudence on freedom of expression, access to information, privacy, digital challenges of Internet and safety of journalists. As such, at the end of the project a critical mass of judges and judicial actors will be more susceptible to apply these standards in their decisions. In that respect, one of the long-term objectives of the project is to promote a safe environment for journalists and media workers, in particular women journalists, to ensure that perpetrators of attacks and crimes committed against them are brought to justice.
