Project ID 570RLA2001
This project in partnership between UNESCO and LVMH aims to create an integrated model of landscape management addressing the pressures and needs for the long-term sustainability of biosphere reserves (BRs) in the Amazon region. The project intends to improve resilience and halting biodiversity loss of the BRs by determining the scientific conditions and criteria for sound and sustainable ecosystem management, and by identifying, supporting and disseminating "good practices", building capacity and contribute to innovative solutions with and for the benefit of local communities. The experience gained and approaches developed will provide knowledge of direct relevance for the WNBR.
