This project aims to increase the supply of qualified teachers in the Asia-Pacific and Africa regions, thereby contributing to achieving access to quality education in both Asia-Pacific and Africa regions. The project will develop a Technical Guidance for National Teacher Competencies and Teaching Standards Frameworks and use it as an entry point and tool to inform and improve teacher policy and teacher training in the regions. The main expected outcomes and outputs are the aforementioned Guidance, enhanced and operationalized National Teacher Competencies and Teaching Standards Frameworks, and strengthened South-South dialogues and cooperation on teacher development and quality education.
