Building on previous years, the Regional Bureau will promote Biosphere Reserves (BRs) in South East Europe and the Mediterranean as model sites for sustainable development in the region. Activities would focus on exploring and testing policies, adopting technologies and innovations for the sustainable management of biodiversity and natural resources and investigating best practices of mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
