Overall, the project is to increase opportunities for culture-based sustainable economic development in Gansu, by integrating the safeguarding of traditional heritage and culture with the development of CCIs, under an integrated identity-building and capacity-building around the Silk Road narrative. The project will address the gaps identified building on the 'City, Culture and Creativity Framework' elaborated jointly with the World Bank to support decision-makers to address urban development challenges and local socio-economic development issues by leveraging culture, creativity and CCIs in an integrated manner.
