Project ID 703INT2000
The Islamic Development Bank and The World Academy of Sciences wish to implement capacity building projects for science and technology under the umbrella of sustainability science. The collaboration will involve 4 components: postdoctoral fellowships, grants for joint research, science diplomacy workshops, support for young refugee scientists. The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) is an international science academy, founded in 1983 in Trieste, Italy, by a distinguished group of scientists from the South under the leadership of the Nobel laureate Abdus Salam. Its main mission is to promote scientific capacity in the South for science-based sustainable development. See www.twas.org.
