The overall purpose of the project is to strengthen the capacity of Mozambique and Uzbekistan on STI policymaking to contribute towards the achievement of the SDGs and to eliminates the persisting gender imbalance in STI. The actvities forseen under this project aim at effecting on the main levers for effective development of STI Policies: understading of the systemic nature of STI, with strong emphasis on knowledge circulation, diffusion and use, and not only the generation of new scientific knowledge; the production of accurate STI information; and the use this information to design STI policies and policy instruments.
