The JPO will assist IOC agendas, policies and knowledge products, ensuring technical accuracy of deliverables, and contribute to the bi-annual work programme & budget of OSS/IOC; assist in the development of international ocean science, delivering scientific advice for ocean policy within IOC expertise, particularly on ocean science & ocean health, including harmful algal blooms, ocean plastics, nutrient pollution & climate change, and the oceans & human health interface; assist to develop, plan and implement scientific training courses, seminars, workshops; prepare background material, manuals, guides, activity reports; organize ocean science & health's data compilation and sharing.
