Project ID 922IND4005

The project is aiming towards the development of 10 cultural tourism destinations in the 4 districts of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer and Bikaner involving 1500 traditional performing artists and handicraft artisans. It will result in the safeguarding of ICH, increased footfall at the artists' villages, and increased average days of stay by visitors. This will lead to the promotion of cultural tourism based on music and craft traditions with an aim of benefitting artists' communities, recognition for the villages and artists and new income opportunities for the tradition bearers as well as the larger community.
