Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is a key topic for the Arab region. UNESCO has established a solid network that helps advance SDG Target 4.7. Throughout the biennium, UNESCO will advance GCED in the Arab region by (i) producing research and guidance for education stakeholders; (ii) mainstreaming GCED in schools through the arts; (iii) working with academia to ensure GCED is mainstreamed at the higher education level.
