The vision of the MAB and UGGps programmes intersect with numerous international conservation instruments and SD initiatives targeting biodiversity/geodiversity conservation. Their affiliated sites are rarely seen as areas of innovation and learning sites to set the ground for conservation and sustainability sciences. They can play a leading role in setting up research agendas and constitutes benchmarks for conservation sciences. The workplan shall draw strong pathways for a healthy nature and wealthy communities in the Arab Region through innovation in research and development. It intends to build strong national, local, institutional and individual leadership in conservation with effective tools and instruments to propel a culture of bio/geodiversity conservation in the Arab region.
