STEM education is key to sustainable development. The UNESCO Regional Bureau will assist Member States in South East Europe and the Mediterranean in promoting STEM education to achieve the 2030 agenda. The activity will focus on strengthening STEM knowledge and research capabilities, mapping and coordinating actions to strengthen STEM education and reducing the gender gap in STEM. The Regional Bureau will also promote inclusive participation of all sectors of society in supporting STEM education and in promoting regional networks.
