While frontier technologies offer unprecedented opportunities for human empowerment towards an equitable, fair and sustainable future, these technologies also pose significant challenges. This workplan will support both the regional strategy for UNESCO's actions in bioethics and ethics of science and technology for Asia and the Pacific, as well as actions that specifically target the countries in South Asia, with the aim of supporting the regional implementation of the Recommendation on the Ethics of AI.
