The UNESCO Regional Office for Southern Africa will support the nine Southern African countries covered by the Regional Office, namely Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, in enhancing their capacities to prepare for and address the impacts of emergencies on culture, including by supporting their efforts to ratify and implement the 1954 Hague Convention and its two (1954 and 1999) Protocols.
