Since its early ratification of the 2003 Convention, Viet Nam has been active in integrating the policies and support programmes promoting living heritage. Significant efforts have been evidenced in pushing for an integrated and inclusive new rural development targeted program during the period 2012-2020. This Workplan activity will aim to strengthen national capacities and support the inter-sectoral coordination between authorities and institutions responsible for culture management and those responsible for the new rural development programs; bringing about a coordinated policy between the local infrastructure development and the support mechanisms promoting living heritage in the rural development.
